    I've shot one recently (on camera, rest asured), that reminds me of sharing that too.
    How's the weather been there, recently? It's been really hot up here on the northern hemisphere. Just wonderin';)

    1. Thanks. Well for the last few month we are into Winter, the overnite temps range from minus 2 to about 8 then it heads up to the heady heights of 10 up to 17C, then the wind chill can take it down again. This winter we have been bless with rain (have just finished a 10yr drought). But the temp picks up from here on to temps in the high 30 to 40C. Aren't you glad you asked.

The laughing kookaburra is a bird in the kingfisher subfamily Halcyoninae. It is a large robust kingfisher with a whitish head and a brown eye-stripe. The upperparts are mostly dark brown but there is a mottled light-blue patch on the wing coverts.
