Gray Lawn Leafhopper (Exitianus exitiosus)

A Gray Lawn Leafhopper on a dried mango leaf. I saw this one while I was in search of moths, probably should have put my 50mm on the extension tubes instead of the 300mm to fill at least half of the frame.

  Thanks Ferdy! I don't own a macro lens because I just feel as though my kit lenses and 50mm f1.8 can do an equal job when connected to a set of inexpensive extension tubes...but there are some instances where I feel as though a 2x magnification can come in handy lol Posted 4 years ago

    Use whatever works for you. A 2:1 ready-to-go lens is cool (only have one since a few months) but is very hard to use: manual focus, no vibration reduction, no image stabilization and super thin depth of field.
