    1. It's always hard to decide if it's worthwhile to try and get some photos and let some/most escape in the process. The photos (at least my max. magnification) are quite useless for ID, so the maximum "purpose" of these can only be "looks sort of kinda like this". Posted 4 years ago, modified 4 years ago

        1. Nah, the photos are okay-ish to "show the species" (for general idea of habitus) but they'll always be totally useless for ID - that's all I'm saying. Maybe running a pinned specimen through your stacking setup and with a 40Mpcx sensor or some such and repeating that from something like 10 different angles might give an expert something to go on, but they would still rather just put it under a (very good) microscope. Holcotetrastichus rhosaces (Walker, 1839) is an approximately 2mm Chalcid wasp (Chalcidoidea) in the family Eulophidae, known to be a parasitoid of the larvae of various species of Tortoise beetles (Chrysomelidae: Cassida spp.)
