Noisy miner on grevillea
Noisy miners are bold and curious birds. They have mostly grey bodies with black crowns and cheeks. The bills are yellow, as are the legs and the naked skin behind the eye. It's an appropriate common name as the calls are uttered noisily and repeatedly by the members of the colony.
Their natural range is from northern Queensland down along the eastern coast to South Australia and Tasmania.
25 cm body length

The noisy miner is a bird in the honeyeater family, Meliphagidae, and is endemic to eastern and south-eastern Australia. This miner is a grey bird, with a black head, orange-yellow beak and feet, a distinctive yellow patch behind the eye and white tips on the tail feathers.
