Rhopalus subrufus - Nymph (1st. std.)
Barely over 1mm body length, first stadium nymph.
Note: Pierre Moulet in his book (bible? ;o) on the Coreoidea in the Faune de France series (vol.81, 1995, pg.196) must have made a mistake in assembling drawings of the various stadia of nymphs for this species. The drawing (fig.52c) shows a completely different habitus.
If I find the time I may assemble a collage of the different stadia side by side as a "replacement" for this.

''Rhopalus subrufus'' is a species of ''scentless plant bugs'' belonging to the family Rhopalidae, subfamily Rhopalinae.
Length is about 7 millimetres. It can be distinguished for its membranous forewings and the connexivum with dark and light stripes. It mainly feeds on ''Hypericum'' species, but also on many other plants. It is found in most of Europe.
