Question Mark Butterflies - Polygonia interrogationis Spotted these two on a tree trunk and I believe at one point they were mating. The photo of the mating was too blurry to post.  It also looks like they are facing a red ant colony, and one photo shows an ant on its forelegs. <br />

    1. Yes, they are considered "angel wings,"and I believe this is one of the prettiest. This is the first time I've encountered this species, and you're right about camo, when they were closed winged, I didn't see them. Posted 4 years ago, modified 4 years ago
