      1. Well as far as I know, that was proposed based on a single genetic study, and it's not widely accepted (yet). Tyrannidae is a huge, very diverse family, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it split a number of ways, but I wouldn't be surprised either to see classification go back and forth in coming years with more studies. The many-colored rush tyrant is a small passerine bird of South America belonging to the tyrant flycatcher family, Tyrannidae. It is the only member of the genus "Tachuris" and is sometimes placed in a separate monotypic family. It inhabits marshland and reedbeds around lakes and rivers.
