Leopard slug One of the largest slugs in Europe, right in our back yard. They are surprisingly fast. You won't think so if you look at them, but look away for a few minutes, and they are out of sight. They have a reputation of doing great damage to gardens, but I'll just let it be, I don't cultivate our garden. I also leave our apple tree for insects and birds. Leopard slug

"Limax maximus", known by the common names great grey slug and leopard slug, is a species of slug in the family Limacidae, the keeled slugs. It is among the largest keeled slugs, "Limax cinereoniger" being the largest.
