  1. Incredible, another species I had never heard of and yet unfortunately another one that has been extinct in the wild. Thank goodness there are people out there helping save these animals.

    2. Thanks. unfortunately wiping out a species happens almost over nite and to replace takes a heck of along time and a lot of determination. What annoys me the most is that no one takes responsibility in the first place Posted 6 years ago
  2. I believe there's been a recent attempt in China to reintroduce these horses to the wild. It's been rough for them (the horses) and sadly, I'm not sure they will be able to succeed without human intervention until they have much larger numbers. Posted 5 years ago

Przewalski's horse or Dzungarian horse, is a rare and endangered subspecies of wild horse native to the steppes of central Asia, specifically Mongolia. At one time extinct in the wild , it has been reintroduced to its native habitat in Mongolia at the Khustain Nuruu National Park, Takhin Tal Nature Reserve, and Khomiin Tal. The taxonomic position is still debated, and some taxonomists treat Przewalski's horse as a species, ''Equus przewalskii''.
