    1. They are really neat! I think this may be a Georgia first (at least on iNaturalist and BugGuide).

      I was kind of upset I couldn't get any closer (I had to reach over foliage to get a picture, so it was really awkward).

  2. Awesome find! How do you tell it apart from Brachyleptura champlaini? The distribution seems a bit more northern for that species, but there are records of it in AL, NC, and VA.

      I think B. champlaini is a good bit smaller in size though? This was pretty big.
