Pustulated Carrion Beetle - Nicrophorus pustulatus TL: ~20 mm. This species doesn&#039;t exhibit the same carcass-burying behaviors of other members of its genus. Instead, it parasitizes the eggs of black rat snakes (Elaphe obsoleta). The larvae eat the snake eggs, and thus qualify as a parasitoid of the snake.
