A catastrophic population decline occurred when nearly all of the American chestnut trees were killed by chestnut blight. With the American chestnut tree driven nearly to extinction, populations of species that depend on chestnut have become imperiled.
Habitat: Attracted to a 395 nm LED light in a semi-rural area
