  1. Definitely Noctuid. Maybe a melanistic Gluphisia?

    I tinkered on photoshop to see the patterns and it looks close to this?

    1. Wondering what you think of Lacinipolia meditata? Similar pattern, same antennae. Plus seeing some dark shots of it, probably due to flash misfires. Posted 4 years ago
      1. Thanks Lisa and Ferdy...I still have no idea. I'll post it on iNat and maybe FB to see if anyone has an opinion.

        I tweaked it in Photoshop too and here is how it looks with shadows lifted:

"Oligia latruncula", the tawny marbled minor, is a species of moth belonging to the family Noctuidae. It is distributed throughout Europe from northern Scotland and middle Fennoscandia in the north and then south to central Spain, Sicily and Greece. In the east, the species ranges to Western Asia. In the Alps it rises to an altitude of 2000 meters.
