Want to run something by you. It seems all our slime molds currently are under kingdom "amoebozoa":
https://www.jungledragon.com/wildlife/browse/amoebozoa
...however, your new species is under "Protozoa":
https://www.jungledragon.com/wildlife/browse/protozoa
When looking up the taxonomy of this species, this does seem correct. However, now we have an identical sub structure, for example "Mycetozoa" under both kingdoms. It seems a duplication of the tree structure. Feels wrong, but I don't know what the correct way is, so thoughts very welcome :) Posted 4 years ago
And lemme see.
The Amoebozoa are a major group of amoeboid protozoa. Amoebozoa would be considered the Phylum and not the Kingdom I think. Posted 4 years ago, modified 4 years ago
