Palm Tanager (Thraupis palmarum)
A Palm Tanager on an overcast day. I took this photo last year, while I was still learning the basics of bird photography (and I still am), I used my low megapixel body and my 75-300mm kit lens to take this photo. I noticed there is a lot of chromatic aberration but I still decided to upload it lol.
The palm tanager is a medium-sized passerine bird. This tanager is a resident breeder from Nicaragua south to Bolivia, Paraguay and southern Brazil. It also breeds on Trinidad and, since 1962, on Tobago. In Trinidad and Tobago, it is known by colloquial names such as the "palmiste" and the "green jean".
