  1. An unusual manakin in many respects, the males of this species are not colorful nor do they form leks. Instead they spend most of the day singing (a characteristic sneeze-like sound) from a perch, sometimes quite high up, where these tiny buggers can be very hard to locate!
    I would hear this one bird every day as his territory was 100 meters from the start of the main trail, but this was the only occasion that I found him on a nice low perch, which finally allowed me to get a good shot!
