P. glaucus? This is a larva on what I believe is a young Ash Tree leaf.  I didn&#039;t think it was alive but I touched the bottom and it reared up.  iNaturalist suggests it&#039;s a Common Swallowtail, suggestions are that it is an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail. I will be monitoring it until it goes into its next stage for a final ID.<br />

The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail is a species of swallowtail butterfly native to North America. It is one of the most familiar butterflies in the eastern United States, where it is common in many different habitats. It flies from spring to fall, during which it produces two to three broods.
