White-tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) Scat These pellets were so fresh. They are pointed at one end and rounded on the other end, which is normal for deer. Color was shiny and brown.  The consistency of this poop indicates that the deer was eating mostly twigs and leaves.<br />
