      Milk Cap - Lactarius sect. deliciosi The caps were mostly flat and ranged in color from orange to to tannish orange. They all appeared bruised with blue/green color on the caps. The stipe and gills also bruised. The gills leaked white and orange latex.<br /> <br /> This section of mushrooms is very confusing to identify in the US. This looks like Lactarius deliciosus, but that species doesn't occur in this country. The Saffron milk cap

Lactarius deliciosus is one of the best known members of the large milk-cap genus "Lactarius" in the order Russulales. It is found in Europe and has been accidentally introduced to other countries under conifers and can be found growing in pine plantations.
