Ambiguous Crayfish (Cambarus striatus)

Found in a vernal pool (near a seasonal stream that often floods this area) at a mixed forest edge

I need to start taking my net and a container with me so I can better study things like this!

  I'm sure there would be some AMAZING FINDS. Jason found salamander eggs on his walk Thursday (and a lot of other things). He says he is sending me photos and videos as gifts (as I can't go on many of his walks), but I think he secretly enjoys observing ;P Posted 4 years ago, modified 4 years ago
