Common Earwig (Forficula auricularia)
I remember being warned as a kid to wrap up tightly under the blankets (remember those) or the Earwigs would crawl into my ears and eat my brain!
They would have to find it first.

''Forficula auricularia'', the common earwig or European earwig, is an omnivorous insect in the family Forficulidae. The European earwig survives in a variety of environments and is a common household insect in North America.
