Rock Pigeon (Columba livia)
A Rock Pigeon foraging for food in the grass. While possibly the most common bird in urban Trinidad, I still appreciate their brilliant green plumage on their neck, as well as the fact that they assist in cleaning our main streets in our capital city, where littering is very common.

The rock dove or rock pigeon is a member of the bird family Columbidae. In common usage, this bird is often simply referred to as the "pigeon". The species includes the domestic pigeon, and escaped domestic pigeons have given rise to feral populations around the world.
