Fauna Europaea and the Dutch species register, as well as volume 5 of the Palaearctic Catalogue (Löbl & Smetana, 2008:p.318) have Scaphidema as neuter, but in volume 7 it is corrected thus:

"p. 318, Scaphidema is feminine [because of Latinized suffix –dema from Greek demas; ICZN Art. 30.1.3]: change the grammatical gender of the species-group names in Scaphidema L. Redtenbacher, 1849 from neuter to feminine"

So, I stand corrected and the species "Scaphidema metallicum" I previously created needs to be merged under "metallica".
