Ruth is right though: The colour pattern on your beetle may come close(-ish) to hemisticta but structurally the beetle is completely different - R. hemi. does _not_ have the conspicuous ridges on the elytra. Have a look at the likes of lineata or cristata and maybe some others that come closer in terms of those ridges and other structural aspects.
There is a great book by Zimmerman, titled Australian Weevils, that is largely available as 'preview' on Google Books. It has a comprehensive key to the Genus and probably other closely related Belini. Use that as a starting point! I may join that effort later, but now it's lights out ... Posted 4 years ago
