Cranefly (Tipula vernalis) There are many species of Cranefly, but the large Tipula vernalis is identifiable by it&#039;s green eyes (hardly to be missed in this photo) its wing pattern and the dark triangle visible here, just behind the head.       <br />

Cranefly (Tipula vernalis)
