Little Penguin
Smallest of the 17 species of penguin, as the only one of blue-grey colouring. Nesting sites are found on rocky or sandy well vegetated shores, well back from the sea. They along the coast and islands of SW and SE Australia from Fremantle WA to Northern NSW, Tasmania and Bass Strait islands also along coasts of New Zealand and Chatham Island.Length is between 35-43cm and weigh 1-1.5kgs
The Little Penguin is the smallest species of penguin. The penguin, which usually grows to an average of 33 cm in height and 43 cm in length, is found on the coastlines of southern Australia and New Zealand, with possible records from Chile.
