Southern Fiddler Ray Habitat is sandy bottoms and sea grass beds adjacent to rocky reefs.  Found in depths to 180m along the Southern Australian coast, east to Bass Straits to Lancelin off the West Australian coast, also along the northern coast of Tasmania. No threat to humans.<br />

Southern Fiddler Ray

Habitat is sandy bottoms and sea grass beds adjacent to rocky reefs. Found in depths to 180m along the Southern Australian coast, east to Bass Straits to Lancelin off the West Australian coast, also along the northern coast of Tasmania. No threat to humans.

Southern fiddler ray, Trygonorrhina fasciata is a guitarfish found along the eastern and southern coasts of Australia. It is brown with shades of yellow or olive above, with a pattern of pale lilac bands edged with dark brown and a distinctive triangular pattern behind its eyes.
