Gwynne's Mining bee (Andrena bicolor)
As sure as night follows day.....
I posted the other day about the Fabricius’ Nomad Bee (Nomada fabriciana) which I said parasites on this species, so I guess I should have expected this fella to be not too far away.
All that yellow on the legs is pollen which fooled me into thinking it was another Mining bee, but we got it right in the end.
''Andrena bicolor'', or Gwynne's mining bee, is a common and widespread Western Palearctic mining bee which is found over most of Europe as well as North Africa and the Middle East and which reaches eastwards into Siberia.
