Romulea ramiflora is a small geophyte of the Iridaceae family.
this species has star-shaped flowers, 0.9-2 cm in diameter, pale lilac to lilac, with a typical pattern of a yellow pointed center, overtopped with a purple frame. pedicel is roundish, usually erect or slightly arching.
grows in humid, often damp conditions on basaltic and terra-rossa soils in oak forest clearings or in open, damp grassy areas near seasonal streams. generally above 600 m
