    1. Thank you Ferdy! These birds were once as common as pigeons here however the lack of tall trees as a result of human activity stunted their population growth...right now they seem to be on the rise though as nearly everyone in my area has a tall tree in their backyard. Posted 4 years ago

The crested oropendola also known as the Suriname crested oropendola is a New World tropical icterid bird. It is a resident breeder in lowland South America east of the Andes, from Panama and Colombia south to northern Argentina, as well as on Trinidad and Tobago.
