  1. Sorry Ferdy - changed the ID on this one .... stumbled on it after uploading a true Amphimallon solstitiale:

    Note the difference in structure of the elytra and overall hairiness etc.

Serica brunnea is medium sized (8-10mm) European scarab beetle in the subfamily Melolonthinae, tribe Sericini.

The Melolonthinae are sometimes classified as full family Melolonthidae.
