"Lagurus ovatus" is a species of flowering plant in the grass family Poaceae, native to the Mediterranean coast of southern Europe and naturalised elsewhere. It is also grown as an ornamental plant for its attractive flower panicles. It has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
