  1. Such an amazing photo! In my country there is the Red-Rumped Agouti, sadly it is hunted for sport and meat year round. Posted 4 years ago
    1. Ah yes, these poor agoutis get hunted all over the place, I think.
You're from Trinidad & Tobago, right? I have great memories of it, it was the first country I visited outside of Europe when I was a kid!

      1. That's great that you've visited Trinidad and Tobago already! I've only visited Europe once(England pre-Brexit lol), but it was a great experience being in weather cooler than 32 degrees Celsius lol. Posted 4 years ago
        1. Ahahaha I have the opposite philosophy: I try to stick to warm places! Posted 4 years ago

The black agouti, "Dasyprocta fuliginosa", is a South American species of agouti from the family Dasyproctidae. It is found in the northwestern Amazon in southern Venezuela, eastern Colombia, eastern Ecuador, western Brazil and northeastern Peru. There is also a disjunct population in the Magdalena River Valley of northern Colombia.
