Late in the summer evening, most insects get pretty tired and slow. Still, this Azure damselfly only took resting breaks of a few seconds. It's a beautiful sight to see this bright fella hover slowly through the air, but unfortunately I did not manage a mid-air shot.

"Enallagma cyathigerum" is a European damselfly. The species can reach a length of 32 to 35 mm. It is common in all of Europe, except for Iceland.
