  3. It looks like it has a beak and the mimicry is super. I wonder what the benefits are of mimicking a treehopper, or if it's just coincidence that they evolved this particular shape. Posted 4 years ago

    I just read on Brisbane insects that it could be that predators see Treehopper as to difficult to catch due to speedily escaping ,therefor the fly wants them to look at it and consider it not worth chasing it.
    Could be but I don’t know.
