        It's definitely hard to see this feature in a living cicada. I think we only have 2 other shots on JD showing their mouthparts (Lisa's might be dead and mine was mid-molt):
        Cicada Molting into an Adult - Neotibicen sp. This cicada was emerging from its exuvia when it came off the tree!         Linne's Cicada (Neotibicen linnei)? ♂ Male Neotibicen linnei?
