  1. Neopelma are a weird group of 5 species, quite atypical among the manakins, which show no sexual dimorphism and none of the bright colors typically found in the males of the family.
    This one has a weird, patchy distribution in Peru, and the dry forests around Tarapoto are one of the best spots to looks for them.

The sulphur-bellied tyrant-manakin , or sulphur-bellied neopelma, is a species of bird in the family Pipridae. It is found in the western Amazon Basin of Bolivia, Brazil and Peru. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest.
