Snail groundbeetle

An impressive jurassic looking beetle from Spain. This one is high on it's legs then normal, probably for eating. There where lots of these running around on this wall, I guess they where assembling for mating.

Specie name is an best estimate, there are similar looking family members.
Dutch name: Slakkenloopkever
German name: Gewöhnlicher Schaufelläufer
