In Belgium non essential travel is still not allowed, unfortunately :-( I hope things change over the months but I understand is all for a good cause so if I cannot travel far this year I will focus on new places near my area. Also the weather is getting better and more inviting to go out again and have walks in nature so I guess this year some belgian spottings will be added to my repertoire :-) Posted 4 years ago

The common tern is a seabird in the family Laridae. This bird has a circumpolar distribution, its four subspecies breeding in temperate and subarctic regions of Europe, Asia and North America. It is strongly migratory, wintering in coastal tropical and subtropical regions. Breeding adults have light grey upperparts, white to very light grey underparts, a black cap, orange-red legs, and a narrow pointed bill.
