  1. So nice! First time I see them, thanks for sharing! :-) Posted 4 years ago
  2. Hi Luka, beautiful photo!
I'm confused, your photo is tagged as Adenium obesum subsp socotranum but identified as Dendrosicyos. I'm pretty sure this is in fact Adenium (given the pink flowers and the shape of the leaves).

    2. Thanks for correcting! I wasn't sure as I am not a plant expert.. .:) Posted 4 years ago
      1. I'm not either, but I have a special interest in the trees of Socotra. I'm so jealous that you got to visit! Posted 4 years ago
        1. It was a photo trip, back in 2014. I wanted to return year after but the war broke out. If all goes well, I will be back in January... Posted 4 years ago
          1. Can I come?? (joking, of course, though I'd love to go there someday..)
Has the safety situation improved for you to be able to plan a return trip, or do you have special circumstances?

            1. The situation on the island itself is safe at the moment. The mainland is the problem or certain regions more precisely. There are now flights directly from Dubai that bypass the mainland so no risk.

I will be leading a two week photo tour so you are welcome to join. It is more expensive as your own organisation but it is well worth it if you are keen photographer.

              1. Holy crap that's quite tempting! If the covid situation keeps improving, I might very well take you up on that! I'll take a look at your webpage and drop you an email. Posted 4 years ago
                1. That's the thing, we all wait for Covid to end... I don't know how it is with linking commercial links, so I am not doing this here. But if you are interested, drop me an email and I will send you full itinerary and the gallery with photos from the previous trip.

                  Thanks!
