Australian native daisy
There are around 100 species within genus Brachyscome, almost all of which occur here in Australia.
Brachyscome angustifolia is a low growing, spreading perennial only up to about 25 cm tall. The pinky purple flowers are 15 - 20 mm diameter at the end of thin, leafless stalks. I see these mostly flowering in spring, but as here, one can see them sending up flowers at other times of the year as well.
Two botanical varieties are recognised.....var.angustifolia and var.heterophylla. The latter has lobed leaves in contrast to the entire leaves of var.angustifolia.
This species has been in cultivation for many years and this is 'radiant magenta'.
