  3. One of many from my recent visit to the Likana protected site in the Eastern Rhodope Mountains. In fact, I saw a dead one first, so I was a little disappointed, but this one was in pretty good shape.

    By the way, there is a Bulgarian-Dutch project for a greener future in the region called the New Thracian Gold. There's lots of information about the protected sites and the biodiversity on their website www.newthraciangold.eu.

The Cream-spot Tiger is a moth of the family Arctiidae. The species is distributed from the Iberian Peninsula across western and southern Europe, Anatolia, western and northern Iran, West Siberia, Southwest Asia and North Africa.
