The Common House Martin (Delichon urbicum)
The House Martin spends much of its time on the wing collecting insect prey. Due to moderate decline puts this bird in on the Amber list. They are summer migrants and spend winter in Africa. This photo shows nest building in progress, extremely fascinating to watch. I am sure when I next look at this nest it will be complete

The western house martin is a migratory passerine bird of the swallow family which breeds in Europe, north Africa and across the Palearctic; and winters in sub-Saharan Africa and tropical Asia. It feeds on insects which are caught in flight, and it migrates to climates where flying insects are plentiful.
