Speckled Bush-cricket (Leptophyes punctatissima) Sometimes you have to travel far to find the something you want to photograph or film.<br />

Sometimes you literally just have to fall out of the front door and there it is staring right at you. Even though it&#039;s not supposed to be there during the day.<br />
<br />
So it was with this Speckled Bush cricket a couple of years ago, as it wandered up and down my porch (alas, not Porsche) support.<br />

With a bit of body contortion action, I was able to get this video from various angles and pretty close up.<br />

The speckled bush-cricket is a flightless species of bush-cricket belonging to the family Tettigoniidae. The species was originally described as "Locusta punctatissima" in 1792.
