The largest flying bird alive, this truly huge vulture earns the title King (or Queen) of Scavengers. The Andean Condor is a species of South American bird in the New World vulture family Cathartidae and is the only member of the genus ''Vultur''. Found in the Andes mountains and adjacent Pacific coasts of western South America, the Andean Condor has a wingspan of up to 3.2 m/10.5 ft but is exceeded by the Wandering Albatross the Southern Royal Albatross the Dalmatian and the Great White Pelicans.
