Wild Turkey Feather - Meleagris gallopavo??

The quill looks too long for a turkey flight feather, but I'm not sure what else it could be.

  1. Maybe this helps:
    https://www.fws.gov/lab/featheratlas/idtool.php

Click "pattern", then "Barred", then "Next selection".
Click "Black / White", then "Find similar feathers".

Gives 28 results, about 5 may be worth investigating more deeply.

    1. Thanks! I am thinking woodpecker or turkey. But, feathers are tough for me, so I'm going to post this to a FB group. Posted 4 years ago
