String of pearls succulent
Native to south-west Africa. This plant is a mat-forming perennial succulent with creeping shoots growing prostrate along the ground, but often trailing or pendent. (If it grows along the ground and not in a pot, it can spread indefinitely as it produces adventitious aerial roots that grow down from where they make contact with soil).
Beads pictured here up to 8 mm diameter.

''Curio rowleyanus'', syn. ''Senecio rowleyanus'', is a flowering plant in the daisy family Asteraceae. It is a creeping, perennial, succulent vine native to the drier parts of southwest Africa. In its natural environment its stems trail on the ground, rooting where they touch and forming dense mats.
