European or German Wasp - Vespula germanica
The European wasp is an aggressive stinging insect.
European wasps are bright yellow and have a black banded abdomen, and a pair of black spots on each yellow band.
European wasps have two pairs of clear wings with the first pair larger.
They have black antennae and fly with their legs held close to the body.
Their size is between 12–16mm.

"Vespula germanica" is a species of wasp found in much of the Northern Hemisphere, native to Europe, Northern Africa, and temperate Asia. It has spread and become well-established in many other places, including North America, South America, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand.
