There were a flock at the feeders and this guy was just chilling by the side lines. Evening Grosbeak (Coccothraustes vespertinus) Mer Bleue Conservation Area, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Ramsar site no. 755.

The Evening grosbeak

The evening grosbeak is a large finch. In the past, it was treated in a genus of its own as ''Hesperiphona vespertina'', but is now usually placed in the same genus as the hawfinch of Eurasia.
