Mutusca brevicornis is a true bug in the family Alydidae (family denominator "Broad headed bugs", which doesn't quite fit this species), native to Australasiae. Colloquially it is often referred to as "Grass bug" or "Brown grass bug" but as there are many other bugs occuring on grasses that are also referred to as such, this is not a discriminative name.
